They didn't warn anyone in 1971. This time someone is warning you.
On August 15, 1971, Nixon interrupted prime-time television and ended the gold standard in 15 minutes - no debate, no vote, one executive order. Gold tripled within three years and climbed 20x over the following decade. Trump holds that same executive authority today, and his advisors are openly saying a reversal is on the table. About FirstCash

FirstCash (NASDAQ:FCFS) operates pawn stores and related consumer financial services businesses in the United States and Latin America. Its pawn stores provide collateral-based loans to consumers, while also buying and selling secondhand merchandise such as jewelry, electronics, tools, sporting goods and other personal property.

The company serves customers through pawn locations in the United States and Mexico, as well as selected markets in Central and South America. Its operations are designed to provide short-term, non-recourse credit secured by personal property, along with retail opportunities for value-conscious consumers. FirstCash has also operated point-of-sale consumer finance businesses that provide credit and lease-to-own products through participating merchants.

FirstCash traces its history to the development and expansion of U.S. pawn-store operations and grew significantly through acquisitions, including its 2016 merger with Cash America International. The combined company adopted the FirstCash name and expanded its geographic reach and store base. Rick Wessel serves as the company’s president and chief executive officer.
