The company was established in 1956 as Fuji Automatic Numerical Control and became independent from Fujitsu in 1972. It adopted the name FANUC Corporation in 1982 and serves customers through operations, subsidiaries, and distribution networks across major manufacturing markets, including Japan, the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
