Usinas Siderúrgicas de Minas Gerais S.A. (Usiminas) is a Brazilian steel producer focused primarily on flat steel products. Its portfolio includes hot- and cold-rolled steel, galvanized steel, and other specialized products used in industries such as automotive manufacturing, construction, energy, machinery, and consumer goods.

The company operates an integrated steelmaking business that includes the production, processing, and distribution of steel. Through affiliated operations, Usiminas is also involved in iron ore mining and related logistics, supporting the supply of raw materials for its steel facilities. Its products are sold mainly in Brazil, with some participation in international markets.

Usiminas was established in 1956 and developed into one of Brazil’s leading flat-steel producers. The company maintains industrial operations in the state of Minas Gerais, including its major steel complex in Ipatinga, as well as commercial and distribution activities serving customers throughout Brazil. Its leadership and governance are overseen by a board and executive management team in accordance with Brazilian corporate requirements.
