About Seven and I

Seven & i Holdings Co., Ltd. is a Japanese retail and consumer services company best known as the parent of the 7-Eleven convenience-store business. Through its subsidiaries, the company operates convenience stores offering prepared foods, beverages, groceries, household goods, fuel and everyday services. Its convenience-store operations serve customers in Japan, North America and other international markets.

The company also operates or has operated supermarkets and specialty retail businesses in Japan, including Ito-Yokado stores and other food and merchandise formats. In addition, Seven & i has interests in financial services and related businesses that support its retail operations, including payment and banking services available through its store network.

Seven & i traces its origins to the Ito-Yokado retail group and was established as a holding company in 2005. Its international presence expanded significantly through the growth of 7-Eleven and the acquisition of Speedway in the United States. The company is headquartered in Tokyo and coordinates a broad retail network across Japan and overseas markets.
