Should You Convert a Traditional IRA to a Roth After 60?
Considering a Roth conversion after 60? The upside includes no income limits on conversions, potential tax-free qualified withdrawals, and no lifetime required minimum distributions. The catch: converting triggers ordinary income tax in the year you convert, and the decision cannot be reversed. The right move depends on your income, tax bracket, and retirement timeline.tc pixel

About Chesapeake Granite Wash Trust

Chesapeake Granite Wash Trust (OTCMKTS:CHKR) is a statutory trust established to hold royalty interests in oil and natural gas properties in the Granite Wash formation of western Oklahoma. The trust is not an operating exploration and production company; instead, it receives royalty payments generated from the sale of hydrocarbons produced from the underlying properties.

The trust’s interests are located primarily in Washita and Custer counties, Oklahoma. Production from the properties includes crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids. Chesapeake Energy Corporation formed the trust and served as the sponsor and development operator of the underlying assets at its creation.

Because Chesapeake Granite Wash Trust is a passive royalty vehicle, its activities are focused on collecting and distributing proceeds from production rather than drilling wells, marketing products directly or maintaining a conventional corporate workforce. The trust’s results depend largely on production from the underlying wells, commodity prices and the ongoing management of the properties by the applicable operator.
