About Electra Battery Materials

Electra Battery Materials (NASDAQ:ELBM) Corp. is a Canadian battery-materials company focused on producing and recycling materials used in lithium-ion batteries. Its principal project is a proposed battery-grade cobalt sulfate refinery in Ontario, designed to supply North American battery and electric-vehicle manufacturers with a locally produced source of cobalt chemicals.

The company has also pursued a battery-recycling business intended to process spent lithium-ion batteries and manufacturing scrap into intermediate materials, including black mass, for recovery of valuable metals. Electra has evaluated additional battery-materials opportunities, including the potential production of nickel sulfate and other refined products used in cathode manufacturing.

Electra was formerly known as First Cobalt Corp. and adopted its current name as it expanded its focus beyond cobalt exploration toward battery-materials refining and recycling. Its operations and development activities are centered in Canada, with a strategic focus on serving the North American battery supply chain. The company is headquartered in Toronto, Ontario.
