About Castor Maritime

Castor Maritime (NASDAQ:CTRM) is a shipping company based in Limassol, Cyprus. The company owns and operates vessels that transport dry bulk commodities, crude oil and refined petroleum products, and other cargoes through international maritime trade routes.

Its fleet has historically included dry bulk carriers, including vessels serving the transportation of commodities such as iron ore, coal and grain, as well as tanker vessels used to transport petroleum products. Castor Maritime has expanded and adjusted its fleet over time through vessel acquisitions, sales and chartering arrangements.

Castor Maritime was founded in 2017 and was led by Petros Panagiotidis, who has served as chairman and chief executive officer. The company’s vessels serve customers and routes across global shipping markets rather than a single geographic region.
