Village Super Market (NASDAQ:VLGEA) is a supermarket operator headquartered in Springfield, New Jersey. The company primarily operates supermarkets under the ShopRite banner, offering a broad selection of grocery products, fresh produce, meat and seafood, dairy items, bakery goods, prepared foods, household merchandise and health and beauty products. Many of its stores also provide pharmacy services, catering, online ordering and home delivery.

The company serves shoppers primarily in the New York metropolitan area and the Mid-Atlantic region, with operations in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. Through acquisitions and related operations, Village Super Market has also expanded its presence through the Fairway Market and Gourmet Garage banners, which focus on specialty, fresh and prepared foods in the New York City area.

Village Super Market traces its history to 1937, when the Sumas family opened its first supermarket in Springfield, New Jersey. The company became a member of the Wakefern Food Corporation cooperative and adopted the ShopRite banner in the late 1950s. Village Super Market remains family-influenced and is led by Chief Executive Officer Robert P. Sumas.
