Grupo Financiero Banorte, S.A.B. de C.V. is a Mexican financial services holding company headquartered in Mexico City. Its principal subsidiary, Banco Mercantil del Norte, commonly known as Banorte, provides banking services to individuals, small and medium-sized businesses, corporations, and government entities.

Banorte’s products and services include deposit accounts, consumer and commercial lending, mortgages, credit and debit cards, electronic banking, treasury services, and investment products. Through its other subsidiaries and affiliated businesses, the group also offers brokerage, insurance, leasing and factoring, asset management, and retirement savings services, including those provided through Afore XXI-Banorte.

The group traces its roots to Mexican banking institutions established in the late 19th century and developed into one of Mexico’s major domestically controlled financial groups through expansion and acquisitions. Its operations are focused primarily on Mexico, where it serves customers through branches, digital channels, and other distribution platforms. Grupo Financiero Banorte is led by Executive Chairman Carlos Hank González and Chief Executive Officer Marcos Ramírez Miguel.
