Stora Enso Oyj (OTCMKTS:SEOAY) is a renewable materials company headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. The company develops and manufactures products made primarily from renewable wood-based resources, serving customers in packaging, construction, consumer goods and other industries.

Its activities include renewable packaging materials and solutions, pulp, biomaterials, wooden construction products and wood products. Stora Enso also manages forest assets and provides products such as sawn wood, engineered wood and mass-timber components for building applications. Its packaging portfolio includes paperboard, corrugated packaging and other fiber-based solutions designed to replace fossil-based materials in selected uses.

Stora Enso was formed in 1998 through the merger of Sweden’s Stora and Finland’s Enso-Gutzeit. The company traces its history to Stora’s medieval mining and forestry origins and has developed from a traditional forest-products business into a broader renewable materials group. It serves customers through operations and sales networks across Europe, Asia and other international markets.

Hans Sohlström has served as Stora Enso’s president and chief executive officer since October 2023. The company is listed in Helsinki and Stockholm, and its shares also trade over the counter in the United States under the symbol SEOAY.
