Whitney Tilson of Stansberry Research has long recommended Berkshire Hathaway as a core retirement holding - but now he believes he's found something better. This under-the-radar company sits at the intersection of America's two most important industries, including AI, pays massive dividends, and attracted a famous money manager who put 60% of his multi-billion-dollar fund into it. About Winmark

Winmark (NASDAQ:WINA) (NASDAQ: WINA) is a franchisor that develops and supports resale retail businesses in the United States and Canada. Its portfolio includes Plato’s Closet, which buys and sells gently used apparel and accessories for teens and young adults; Once Upon A Child, which focuses on children’s clothing, toys and equipment; Play It Again Sports, which specializes in new and used sporting goods; Style Encore, which sells secondhand women’s clothing and accessories; and Music Go Round, which offers new and used musical instruments and equipment.

Winmark’s primary business activities include granting franchises, collecting royalties and providing franchisees with operational support, marketing programs, training, technology and store-development resources. Its resale concepts are designed to serve value-conscious consumers while allowing franchise operators to purchase inventory directly from local customers and resell it through branded retail locations.

The company also operates a leasing business through Winmark Capital, which provides equipment financing and leasing solutions to businesses. Winmark was founded in 1988 and was formerly known as Grow Biz International before adopting the Winmark name. The company is headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is led by President and Chief Executive Officer Brett D. Heffes.
