About Grupo Mexico

Grupo México, S.A.B. de C.V. is a Mexico-based conglomerate with principal operations in mining, transportation and infrastructure. The company is best known for its copper business, conducted primarily through Southern Copper Corporation, in which Grupo México holds a controlling interest.

Its mining operations produce copper, molybdenum, zinc, silver and lead. The company operates mines, processing facilities and related infrastructure in Mexico and Peru, with products serving industrial, construction, electrical and manufacturing markets. Grupo México also owns and operates rail transportation businesses in Mexico, including freight rail networks that connect industrial centers, ports and border crossings.

Through its infrastructure division, Grupo México participates in projects involving engineering, construction, energy and related services. The company was established in 1978 and has expanded through the development and acquisition of mining, rail and infrastructure assets. Grupo México is headquartered in Mexico City and is led by Executive Chairman Germán Larrea Mota-Velasco.
