About Aurora Innovation

Aurora Innovation (NASDAQ:AUROW) develops autonomous vehicle technology designed to improve the safety, efficiency and accessibility of transportation. Its core product, the Aurora Driver, is an integrated hardware and software system intended to enable vehicles to operate without human control across a range of driving environments.

The company is focused primarily on autonomous trucking and has also developed technology for passenger transportation. Aurora was founded in 2017 by Chris Urmson, Sterling Anderson and Drew Bagnell, executives and researchers with backgrounds in autonomous vehicle development. Chris Urmson serves as the company’s chief executive officer. Aurora has formed industry relationships with companies including PACCAR, Volvo and Toyota to support the development and deployment of autonomous transportation technology.
