The company changed its name in 2013 after selling The Washington Post newspaper to an entity controlled by Jeff Bezos. Today, Graham Holdings operates through a range of businesses in education, media, health care and other industries.

Its largest operating business is Kaplan, which provides educational services, professional training, test preparation, higher education programs and learning products to students, institutions and businesses. Kaplan serves customers in the United States and internationally through online and in-person offerings.

Graham Holdings also owns Graham Media Group, which operates local television stations and digital media properties in several U.S. markets. Other operations include Graham Healthcare Group, which provides home health and hospice services, as well as businesses involved in manufacturing, automotive sales and service, and other specialized activities.

Timothy J. O’Shaughnessy serves as president and chief executive officer, while Donald E. Graham, the company’s former chief executive and former publisher of The Washington Post, serves as chairman.
