About Tenet Healthcare

Tenet Healthcare (NYSE:THC) is a Dallas-based healthcare services company that operates hospitals, outpatient facilities and other healthcare businesses across the United States. Its operations include acute care hospitals, specialty hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and related outpatient services.

Through its United Surgical Partners International subsidiary, Tenet is one of the major operators and developers of ambulatory surgery centers in the United States. These facilities provide same-day surgical procedures and other outpatient care across a range of medical specialties. Tenet also provides revenue-cycle management, patient administration and other support services to healthcare organizations through its Conifer Health Solutions business.

The company traces its history to 1967 and was formerly known as National Medical Enterprises before adopting the Tenet Healthcare name in 2003. Tenet’s operations primarily serve communities throughout the United States. Saum Sutaria, M.D., has served as the company’s president and chief executive officer since 2022.
