About Halozyme Therapeutics

Halozyme Therapeutics (NASDAQ:HALO) is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing drug-delivery technologies that improve the administration of injectable medicines. The company’s primary platform, ENHANZE, uses recombinant human hyaluronidase to temporarily modify tissue beneath the skin, allowing certain drugs and biologics that are traditionally delivered by intravenous infusion to be administered by subcutaneous injection.

Halozyme licenses its technology to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, which incorporate it into their own therapies. Products using the company’s technology include subcutaneous formulations of several commercially available treatments, such as DARZALEX FASPRO, PHESGO, VYVGART HYTRULO and HyQvia. Halozyme also markets HYLENEX recombinant, a standalone hyaluronidase product used to facilitate the absorption and dispersion of other injected medicines and fluids.

Founded in 1998 and headquartered in San Diego, California, Halozyme serves international markets primarily through licensing, collaboration and commercialization agreements with healthcare companies. Its business model combines technology partnerships, milestone payments and royalties tied to products that use its drug-delivery platforms.
