New Mountain Finance was established in 2008 and is externally managed by New Mountain Finance Advisers BDC, an affiliate of New Mountain Capital, an investment firm focused on growth-oriented businesses. The company invests primarily in middle-market companies in the United States and operates as a regulated investment company under the Investment Company Act of 1940.
