Uniti Group (NASDAQ:UNIT) is a communications infrastructure company that owns, operates and leases fiber-optic networks, wireless infrastructure and other telecommunications real estate. Its assets support broadband providers, wireless carriers, enterprises, government organizations and other communications customers.

The company’s services and infrastructure include dark-fiber leasing, lit fiber transport, network backhaul, fiber-to-the-tower connections, small-cell infrastructure, wireless towers and related colocation or real estate arrangements. Uniti’s network assets serve customers across multiple regions of the United States, particularly in markets where fiber and communications infrastructure are essential to broadband and wireless connectivity.

Uniti was established in 2015 through the spin-off of Windstream’s communications infrastructure assets and was initially known as Communications Sales & Leasing Inc. It adopted the Uniti name in 2017. In 2025, Uniti combined with Windstream Holdings II, reuniting the infrastructure business with Windstream’s telecommunications operations and creating an integrated communications infrastructure company.
