America Is Following in Greece's Footsteps
Italy in the 90s. Argentina in 2001. Greece in 2009. America was always safe… But now the IMF is projecting that by 2031, US debt will climb to 140% of GDP. That's higher than Greece's debt was when their entire economy collapsed. When Greece broke, the EU swooped in with $300 billion in emergency bailouts. Greece was fine. But when America crosses that line? There's no one bigger to save us. We ARE the emergency bailout for the rest of the world. You can't fix $38 trillion in debt. You can't stop Congress from spending. But you CAN control how much of your wealth stays exposed to the fallout.tc pixel

About Athira Pharma

Athira Pharma (NASDAQ:LONA) is a clinical‐stage biopharmaceutical company headquartered in Seattle, Washington, that is dedicated to developing therapies aimed at restoring neuronal health and slowing the progression of neurodegenerative diseases. Founded in 2011, Athira’s research focuses on the Hepatocyte Growth Factor (HGF)/MET pathway as a novel mechanism to promote neuronal repair, synaptic function and overall cognitive performance. The company’s overarching goal is to offer disease‐modifying treatments for conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

The centerpiece of Athira’s pipeline is fosgonimeton (ATH‐1017), a small‐molecule positive modulator of the HGF/MET system. Fosgonimeton has advanced through Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical trials, where it has been evaluated for safety, tolerability and preliminary efficacy in patients with mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of cognitive impairment. In addition to ATH‐1017, the company is exploring follow‐on small‐molecule candidates designed to target related pathways and broaden the potential therapeutic impact across multiple neurodegenerative indications.

Athira Pharma went public in 2019 and is traded on the Nasdaq under the symbol ATHA. The company conducts clinical studies in the United States and Europe in collaboration with academic research centers and contract research organizations. Leadership has included key figures from both the biotech and neuroscience research communities, with a management team experienced in drug development, clinical operations and regulatory affairs. Athira continues to engage with strategic partners to support its mission of bringing novel, disease‐modifying treatments to patients suffering from progressive neurological disorders.
