About Azitra

Azitra (NYSEAMERICAN:AZTR) is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing precision dermatology treatments for inflammatory and other skin conditions. The company uses engineered microbes and its proprietary platform to discover and develop live biotherapeutic products intended to address disease-related changes in the skin microbiome and deliver therapeutic proteins locally.

Azitra’s product pipeline has included ATR-12, an engineered strain of Staphylococcus epidermidis designed to produce filaggrin-1 for the potential treatment of Netherton syndrome, a rare genetic skin disorder. The company has also developed ATR-04, a topical live biotherapeutic candidate intended to help treat acneiform rash and other skin complications associated with epidermal growth factor receptor inhibitor therapies.

Founded in 2014, Azitra is based in Branford, Connecticut, and conducts its research and development activities in the United States. Its programs are aimed at addressing both rare dermatologic diseases and more common treatment-related skin conditions.
