How Long Does $2.5M Last in Retirement?
Having $2.5 million saved puts you ahead of most Americans, but how long it lasts depends on the decisions you make with it. Using the 4% rule as a benchmark, that balance could translate to about $100,000 in year one, adjusted upward for inflation each year after. But the 4% rule has potential downsides and may not fit every portfolio. A financial advisor can help size and structure a retirement budget around your income sources, taxes, and goals. About VOC Energy Trust

VOC Energy Trust (NYSE:VOC) is a Canada-based unincorporated, open-ended royalty trust focused on upstream oil and gas interests. Headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, the trust holds non-operated royalty and net profit interests in conventional petroleum and natural gas properties. VOC’s structure allows it to collect a percentage of production revenues without directly managing exploration or drilling activities.

The trust’s asset portfolio is concentrated in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin, with producing properties across Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Its royalty interests cover a mix of light crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids, with production operated by a range of established third-party energy companies. VOC seeks to maintain a stable royalty footprint by acquiring and managing interests in lower-decline, conventional assets.

VOC Energy Trust was established to provide unitholders with exposure to Canadian energy production through a royalty-based model. Units trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker VOC. Governance is provided by a board of trustees, while an executive team in Calgary oversees asset management, investor relations and regulatory compliance. By leveraging non-operated interests, VOC aims to deliver long-term cash distributions derived from stable production streams.
