About Amer Sports

Amer Sports (NYSE:AS) (NYSE:AS) is a Helsinki-based sporting goods group that designs, develops and markets performance-oriented equipment, apparel and footwear across multiple sports. The company focuses on product innovation, brand-driven marketing and global distribution to serve athletes and outdoor enthusiasts, offering goods for activities such as skiing, running, hiking, tennis, golf and diving.

Amer Sports’ portfolio comprises well-known sports and outdoor brands, including Salomon (outdoor footwear and winter sports), Atomic (alpine skis and ski equipment), Arc’teryx (technical outerwear and climbing gear), Wilson (racquet and ball sports equipment) and Suunto (precision instruments and sports watches). Its product mix spans hard goods (skis, racquets, watches), soft goods (performance apparel and footwear) and accessories, supported by R&D and brand-led product development.

The company operates globally through a combination of wholesale partners, direct-to-consumer retail stores and e-commerce channels, serving markets in Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region. In 2019 Amer Sports was taken private by a consortium led by Anta Sports of China, with participation from strategic and financial investors, positioning the group to pursue longer-term brand and geographic expansion strategies. Management continues to run day-to-day operations from its Helsinki headquarters while maintaining an international footprint across its brands’ markets.
