Coca-Cola FEMSA, S.A.B. de C.V. is a Latin American beverage company and the largest franchise bottler of Coca-Cola products by sales volume. The company manufactures, markets, sells and distributes beverages under brands owned or licensed by The Coca-Cola Company, including Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, Powerade and Dasani, along with local soft-drink, water, juice and other beverage brands.
The company serves consumers through a broad distribution network spanning Mexico, Central and South America, with operations in markets including Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. Its products are sold through grocery stores, convenience stores, restaurants, food-service outlets, vending channels and other retail locations.
Coca-Cola FEMSA was formed in 1991 through a partnership between FEMSA and The Coca-Cola Company. FEMSA remains its controlling shareholder, while The Coca-Cola Company is also a significant shareholder. Ian Craig serves as chief executive officer, and José Antonio Fernández Carbajal serves as executive chairman of the board.
