About Mesoblast

Mesoblast (NASDAQ:MESO) (NASDAQ: MESO) is a biotechnology company focused on developing and commercializing regenerative medicine products based on proprietary mesenchymal lineage stromal cells. The company’s cell therapies are designed to address serious inflammatory and immune-mediated conditions by potentially reducing inflammation, supporting tissue repair and modulating immune responses.

Mesoblast’s lead product, remestemcel-L, is marketed in the United States as Ryoncil for the treatment of steroid-refractory acute graft-versus-host disease in pediatric patients. The therapy received approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in 2024 and is the company’s first commercial product in the United States. Mesoblast has also investigated cell-based therapies for conditions including chronic heart failure, chronic low back pain and other inflammatory disorders.

Founded in 2004 and headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, Mesoblast has conducted research and clinical development activities in the United States, Australia and other international markets. The company’s products and candidates have been developed through internal research programs and collaborations with pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations. Mesoblast is led by founder and Chief Executive Officer Silviu Itescu, who has overseen the company’s development of allogeneic cellular medicines.
