About Westlake

Westlake (NYSE:WLK) Corp. is a global manufacturer of petrochemicals, polymers and building products, serving customers across industrial and residential markets. The company’s core operations encompass the production of vinyls—primarily polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and its key feedstock vinyl chloride monomer (VCM)—as well as chlor-alkali products including caustic soda and chlorine. In addition, Westlake produces ethylene, propylene and specialty elastomers, along with construction-related materials such as vinyl siding, trim, windows and roofing systems.

Operating a network of vertically integrated plants and distribution centers, Westlake serves markets in North America, Europe and Asia. Its petrochemical facilities supply essential building blocks for pipe, conduit, fittings, window profiles, automotive components, packaging, adhesives and coatings. The building products segment leverages formulating and extrusion capabilities to deliver residential siding, insulation-backed cladding and custom exterior trim to homebuilders, distributors and retailers.

Since its founding in 1986, Westlake has expanded through strategic acquisitions and organic growth to become one of the largest independent producers in its industry. A landmark deal in 2016 combined Westlake Chemical with Axiall Corporation, broadening its global footprint and product portfolio. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, the company is led by Albert J. Chao, who serves as chairman and chief executive officer, and is backed by the leadership team of the Chao family. Westlake continues to invest in capacity expansions and technology innovations aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and meeting evolving customer needs.
