About Talen Energy

Talen Energy (NASDAQ:TLN) Inc. is an independent power producer that develops and operates a diversified portfolio of thermal and renewable generation facilities across the United States. The company supplies wholesale electricity and related services to utilities, large industrial customers, and power marketers, participating actively in regional markets such as PJM Interconnection and the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). Talen’s asset base comprises a mix of natural gas-fired, coal-fired and nuclear generation, supplemented by battery storage and other flexible resources designed to support the evolving needs of the grid.

Established in December 2015 through the combination of the competitive generation businesses previously held by two major utility groups, Talen Energy was structured as a standalone, publicly traded entity on the NASDAQ stock exchange (TLN). Since its inception, the company has focused on optimizing the performance of existing assets, investing in upgrades to enhance reliability and environmental performance, and selectively pursuing development opportunities in both generation and energy storage technologies.

Headquartered in the U.S., Talen Energy’s operational footprint spans multiple regions, including the Mid-Atlantic, the Southwest and the Midwest. Its flagship facility, the Susquehanna nuclear power plant, is one of the largest single-site nuclear stations in the country, while its thermal portfolio includes several large‐scale gas and coal plants that provide baseload and peaking capacity. The company actively engages with regional system operators to deliver ancillary services such as frequency regulation and reserve capacity, helping to maintain grid stability and reliability.

Talen Energy is led by an executive team with deep industry experience in power generation, finance and regulatory affairs. The company emphasizes a disciplined operating approach, cost management and environmental stewardship, with the goal of balancing reliable power delivery and long-term value creation for its shareholders.
