About Zentalis Pharmaceuticals

Zentalis Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:ZNTL) (NASDAQ: ZNTL) is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering and developing small-molecule medicines for the treatment of cancer. The company’s research programs are designed to address biological mechanisms involved in tumor growth, resistance to treatment and disease progression.

Zentalis’ lead product candidate is azenosertib, formerly known as ZN-c3, an oral, selective WEE1 kinase inhibitor. The company is evaluating azenosertib in clinical studies involving solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, including ovarian cancer, uterine serous carcinoma and other cancers. WEE1 inhibition is intended to interfere with cancer cells’ ability to repair DNA damage and progress through the cell cycle.

The company was founded in 2014 and is headquartered in San Diego, California. Zentalis became a publicly traded company in 2020. Its operations are primarily focused on the research and clinical development of oncology therapies, with clinical activities conducted through research institutions and trial sites in the United States and other regions. Kimberly J. Blackwell, M.D., is the company’s founder and chief executive officer.
