Robinhood Markets NASDAQ: HOOD announced a broad slate of trading, artificial intelligence, social and platform features at its HOOD Summit, including plans for 24/7 equities trading, expanded options hours, perpetual futures and an AI-powered agent platform.
The company said its current 24/5 stock-trading offering, which operates from 8 p.m. ET Sunday through 8 p.m. ET Friday, will be upgraded to a 24/7 market. Eleanor Trinh, senior manager of design, said the change will bring weekend trading for native equities to Robinhood customers. The company did not provide a specific launch date.
Expanded Trading Tools and Hours
Robinhood also plans to extend options trading hours for its most actively traded symbols, including Nvidia, Tesla, SPY and QQQ. Beginning next month, options trading for those symbols will run from 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. ET, representing a 35% increase in available options-trading hours, according to Trinh.
Daniella Corricelli, senior manager of product management, announced the rollout of one-cancels-the-other, or OCO, orders for equities across Robinhood’s mobile app and Legend platform. The order type will allow users to pair profit-taking and stop-loss orders. Options OCO orders are expected early next year.
Corricelli also said Robinhood will introduce intraday margin next month. Eligible customers will be able to access up to four times buying power during market hours, compared with the company’s current maximum of two times buying power with margin. Robinhood said the feature will include risk-management tools, including reminders ahead of market close and in-app controls for managing leverage.
Legend, Social and Device Updates
For active traders using Robinhood Legend, Gina Pasqua-Abeles, senior director of product management, said the company is developing profit-and-loss layouts designed to help users evaluate past trading strategies. Legend users will also receive access to agentic accounts, which can be connected to a preferred AI model through Robinhood’s trading model context protocol, or MCP.
Robinhood said agents on Legend will be able to help users customize workspaces, conduct technical analysis, create stock screens and generate custom scripts and indicators. Pasqua-Abeles said agentic accounts on Legend were available starting immediately, while additional Legend-specific tools are planned in coming weeks.
The company also announced “Robinhood Dual Display,” a redesigned trading interface for foldable devices. Abhishek Fatehpuria, vice president of product management, said the feature will launch Oct. 23 for the iPhone Duo, the same day the device ships. On that date, Robinhood also plans to launch Dual Display for Android foldables including Galaxy Z and Pixel Fold devices, as well as native apps for Android tablets and iPads.
Robinhood Social is now out of beta, according to Anna Tork, senior manager of product management. The social platform enables users to share trade ideas and includes verified trade-related information, such as profit-and-loss posts and portfolio allocations. Robinhood said it is adding verified market commentators, company and political feeds, CEO feeds and news content.
Tommy Treadway, senior design manager, said a social widget will also be integrated into Legend. The widget will display verified social posts and allow users to view trade entries and exits associated with a post, with the ability to initiate a trade from the platform.
Prediction Markets and Earnings Tools
Brad Nave, senior director of execution services, announced a new Predict tab and prediction-market hub. Robinhood plans to introduce binary contracts tied directly to corporate earnings metrics, including revenue, earnings per share and other key performance indicators. Nave said the company expects to offer contracts across more than 20 popular symbols and hundreds of events in the next few weeks, ahead of third-quarter earnings season.
Robinhood is also rolling out an earnings-call player within its app during the upcoming earnings season. Treadway said the tool will provide audio, transcripts with speaker attribution, playback controls, live comments and the ability to buy or sell shares without leaving the earnings-call player.
Perpetual Futures and AI Agents
Steve Quirk, Robinhood’s chief brokerage officer, said the company will offer perpetual futures, or “perps,” to U.S. customers. The products do not expire, trade continuously and will offer leverage of up to 10-to-1, according to Quirk. Robinhood plans to begin with eight crypto perpetual futures products and charge one basis point per trade through the end of the year. The company said the products were available immediately for the live event audience and would be released more broadly in the coming months.
Robinhood also introduced Robinhood Agents, an in-app AI product designed to provide access to AI models, institutional-grade data and automated strategy execution. Fatehpuria said more than 150,000 customers had opened agentic accounts since the company’s initial agentic-trading launch in May, and agents are using Robinhood tools more than 30 million times daily.
The new Agents product will allow customers to create dedicated agentic accounts, select AI models, use third-party data applications and create “loops” that automate strategies on a recurring schedule. Robinhood said trade approvals will be enabled by default, and agents can trade only within dedicated agentic accounts. The company said it has zero-data-retention agreements with research labs and that customer agent conversations remain private.
Robinhood Agents and Agent Apps began rolling out to HOOD Summit attendees immediately, with automated loops expected “very soon.” The company said GPT-6 Luna will be free through year-end, while other models will be priced based on standard token rates.
Finally, Quirk announced several promotional offers for Robinhood Gold members: an entry for a chance to win a gold bar for every dollar deposited, a 2% match on IRA transfers and a match of up to 3% on eligible brokerage accounts. He said the offers will end within the next few weeks.
