ETF Overview

iShares MSCI EMU ETF, formerly iShares MSCI EMU Index Fund (the Fund), is an exchange-traded fund. The Fund seeks to provide investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of publicly traded securities in the European Monetary Union (EMU) markets, as measured by the MSCI EMU Index (the Index). The Index seeks to measure the performance of the equity markets of the EMU member countries: those members of the European Union who have adopted the Euro as its currency. It is a capitalization-weighted index that aims to capture 85% of the (publicly available) total market capitalization. The Fund invests in sectors, such as financials, industrials, consumer staples, consumer discretionary, materials, energy, telecommunication services, utilities, healthcare and information technology. BlackRock Fund Advisors (BFA) serves as the investment adviser to the Fund.
