The company was formerly known as Orbital Energy Group, Inc. and changed its name to Orbital Infrastructure Group, Inc. in August 2022. Orbital Infrastructure Group, Inc. was incorporated in 1998 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas. On August 23, 2023, Orbital Infrastructure Group, Inc., along with its affiliates, filed a voluntary petition for reorganization under Chapter 11 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
