Company Overview

Signature Bank was a New York-based full-service commercial bank founded in 2001. It provided banking and financial services primarily to privately owned businesses, their owners and senior managers, as well as high-net-worth individuals. The bank operated through relationship-focused private client banking teams and served customers in the New York metropolitan area, California and Nevada.

Its products and services included commercial and industrial lending, commercial real estate loans, residential and multifamily real estate financing, construction loans, business and personal deposit accounts, cash management, online banking and wealth management services. Signature Bank also developed a digital payments platform and became known for offering banking services to cryptocurrency-related businesses and other digital-asset companies.

Joseph J. DePaolo, a co-founder, served as Signature Bank’s president and chief executive officer for much of its history. In March 2023, the New York State Department of Financial Services closed the bank and appointed the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as receiver. Deposits and certain assets were subsequently transferred to Signature Bridge Bank, and Flagstar Bank, a subsidiary of New York Community Bancorp, acquired portions of Signature Bank’s business. Signature Bank no longer operates as an independent bank.

Signature Bank (NASDAQ:SBNY) Shares Down 6.3% - Should You Sell?
Pass by August 7… or wait until 2027?
Last month I told investors that a Trump-backed crypto bank could be approved any day. On August 14, it was. Federal regulators granted conditional approval to World Liberty Trust Company… a nationally chartered trust bank tied to the Trump family's crypto venture. Most investors still haven't processed what that means. This bank exists to do one thing. Issue, redeem, custody and back USD1… the stablecoin that has now crossed $4 billion in circulation. The bank isn't operating yet. There are conditions to satisfy first… capital minimums, an audit manager, a sign-off on the business plan. Which means the money hasn't moved yet.tc pixel
