The company operates through well-known brands including Telcel in Mexico and Claro across much of Latin America. Through its investment in Telekom Austria Group, América Móvil also has telecommunications operations in several Central and Eastern European countries under brands such as A1.

The company has also invested in enterprise connectivity, cloud, cybersecurity, digital entertainment, and other technology-related services. Daniel Hajj has served as chief executive officer since 2011, while Carlos Slim Domit is chairman of the board.
