PIMCO 15+ Year US TIPS Index ETF (the Fund), formerly PIMCO 15+ Year U.S. TIPS Index Fund, is an exchange-traded fund. The investment objective of the Fund is provide total return that closely corresponds to the total return of The BofA Merrill Lynch 15+ Year US Inflation-Linked Treasury Index (the Underlying Index). The Fund seeks to achieve its investment objective by investing at least 80% of its total assets (exclusive of collateral held from securities lending) in the component securities (Component Securities) of the Underlying Index. The Underlying Index is an unmanaged index comprising Treasury Inflation Protected Securities (TIPS ) with a maturity of at least 15 years. As of September 30, 2009, there were eight TIPS issues in the Underlying Index. The Fund may invest in derivative instruments, such as options, futures contracts or swap agreements. The Fund's investment advisor is Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO).
