B3 was formed in 2017 through the combination of BM&FBovespa and Cetip, bringing together exchange-traded markets and over-the-counter financial infrastructure. Its services are used by Brazilian and international investors, financial institutions, listed companies, issuers and other market participants, with operations focused primarily on Brazil.
