Through these facilities, Noranda served industrial customers in the United States and participated in the production and processing of aluminum from primary metal into finished or semi-finished products.

Noranda Aluminum Holdings Corporation and certain subsidiaries filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in 2016. Following the bankruptcy proceedings, the company’s assets and operations were subject to restructuring and sales, and Noranda Aluminum is no longer regarded as an active independent operating company in the same form.
