UBE’s machinery and systems division designs and manufactures equipment for plastics processing, chemical reactors and environmental systems such as wastewater treatment and waste-to-energy plants. Through its energy and environment business, the company develops and operates power generation facilities, including biomass and waste-fired plants.

Headquartered in Ube, Japan, UBE maintains production sites and sales offices across Asia, North America and Europe to serve diverse end markets. Its fine chemicals arm produces pharmaceutical intermediates, agrochemical raw materials and electronic chemicals under strict quality and environmental standards.
