Longview Oil Corp. (Longview) is a Canada-based oil and natural gas production, exploitation and acquisition in the Western Canadian sedimentary basin. It focuses to acquire and operate primarily producing crude oil properties. The Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Advantage Oil & Gas Ltd (Advantage). Longview is created to acquire certain oil-weighted assets (the Acquired Assets) of Advantage. The Acquired Assets are diversified, long life crude oil and natural gas properties. As of December 31, 2010, Longview produced approximately 6,220 barrel of oil equivalent per day. Its properties are located in West Central Alberta, Sunset, Skaro/Alexis, Saskatchewan and Lloydminster. As of December 31, 2010, the Company had no assets and does not carry on any active business, other than reviewing potential acquisition opportunities. In June 2014, Surge Energy Inc and Longview Oil Corp announced that it has completed the business combination whereby Surge Energy Inc has acquired Longview.
