The company was formerly known as Pioneer Electronic Corporation and changed its name to Pioneer Corporation in June 1999. Pioneer Corporation was founded in 1938 and is headquartered in Kawasaki, Japan. As of April 1, 2019, Pioneer Corporation was taken private.
