About FirstCash

FirstCash (NASDAQ:FCFS), Inc. (NASDAQ: FCFS) is a specialty consumer-finance and retail company focused primarily on pawn-based lending. Through its pawn stores, the company provides short-term, non-recourse loans secured by personal property, allowing customers to obtain cash without traditional credit underwriting. Customers may repay the loan and reclaim the pledged item or forfeit the collateral under applicable regulations.

FirstCash also generates revenue by selling merchandise obtained through forfeited pawn loans and by purchasing used goods directly from consumers. Its retail inventory commonly includes jewelry, electronics, tools, musical instruments and other general merchandise. The company also operates gold-buying services in certain markets.

The company traces its roots to the late 1980s and expanded through organic growth and acquisitions, including its 2016 combination with Cash America International’s pawn operations. FirstCash is headquartered in Arlington, Texas, and serves customers through a network of stores in the United States and Latin America, with a significant presence in Mexico and other regional markets.
