About Tredegar

Tredegar (NYSE:TG) is a diversified manufacturer specializing in high-performance plastic films and aluminum extrusions. Headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, the company operates through two primary segments—Films and Manufactured Products—serving a broad range of industries that include flexible packaging, medical devices, electronics, building and construction. Tredegar’s operations focus on delivering tailored solutions that meet demanding specifications for barrier properties, film strength and extrusion tolerances.

The Films segment produces a variety of polyolefin films, including cast and blown polyethylene, BOPP (biaxially oriented polypropylene), barrier films and specialty medical-grade films. These products are designed for applications such as food and beverage packaging, industrial liners, medical pouches and labels. Tredegar’s research and development efforts emphasize improving film performance in areas like seal integrity, printability and sustainability, enabling customers to meet evolving regulatory and consumer requirements.

Under the Manufactured Products segment, Tredegar manufactures custom aluminum extrusions and thermal insulation panels primarily for the building and industrial markets. Extruded shapes range from simple profiles to complex geometries used in window and door framing, curtain wall systems and heat exchangers. The segment also supplies vapor barriers, reflective insulation and engineered components for HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning) applications, where energy efficiency and durability are critical.

Tracing its roots to the early 1980s when it was spun off from Ethyl Corporation’s aluminum business, Tredegar has expanded its footprint to include manufacturing facilities in North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. The company’s global network enables close collaboration with customers on product development and technical support. James P. Boardley serves as Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, leading a management team focused on operational excellence, innovation and sustainable growth.
