On August 22, 2025, the U.S. government became one of Intel's largest shareholders - converting CHIPS Act grants into a 9.9% equity stake worth 8.9 billion dollars at 20.47 per share. Weeks earlier, the DoD took a 15% stake in rare-earth miner MP Materials, and the DOE followed with a 5% stake in Lithium Americas alongside a 2.23 billion dollar loan. Hennes & Mauritz (OTCMKTS:HNNMY), commonly known as H&M, is a Swedish multinational fashion retailer that designs, sources and sells ready-to-wear clothing, accessories and home textiles. The company traces its roots to 1947, when Erling Persson opened a women’s clothing store called Hennes ("hers") in Västerås, Sweden; the business expanded into menswear after the acquisition of a Stockholm-based retailer, Mauritz Widforss, in the late 1960s, which led to the Hennes & Mauritz name. Today the company is headquartered in Stockholm and operates a global retail business built around multiple branded concepts.

H&M’s core activities include product design, sourcing and retailing of fashion for women, men, teenagers and children, as well as home goods under its H&M Home line. In addition to its flagship H&M stores, the group operates a portfolio of fashion concepts and sub-brands that target different customer segments and price points, such as COS, & Other Stories, Monki, Weekday and ARKET, among others. The company focuses on seasonal collections, collaborations with designers and fast-moving inventory cycles typical of the value fashion sector.

Products are sold through a combination of company-operated physical stores, franchised outlets in selected markets and e-commerce channels. H&M has expanded internationally over decades and serves customers across Europe, North America, Asia and other regions through a mix of direct operations and partner-run stores. The company has invested in omnichannel capabilities to integrate in-store and online shopping experiences.

Corporate leadership has transitioned over time from the Persson family founders to professional executives; Helena Helmersson was appointed CEO in 2020.
