About ASML

ASML (NASDAQ:ASML) is a Netherlands-based technology company that develops and manufactures lithography systems used by semiconductor manufacturers to produce integrated circuits. Its equipment uses light to project intricate circuit patterns onto silicon wafers, an essential step in the production of chips for computers, smartphones, automobiles, data centers and other electronic devices.

The company’s product portfolio includes extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography systems, deep ultraviolet (DUV) lithography systems and advanced metrology and inspection technologies. ASML also provides software, upgrades, training, maintenance and customer support services designed to help chipmakers improve manufacturing accuracy, productivity and yield.

ASML was established in 1984 as a joint venture between ASM International and Philips and is headquartered in Veldhoven, the Netherlands. It serves semiconductor manufacturers worldwide through operations and customer-support activities across Europe, the United States and Asia. Christophe Fouquet has served as ASML’s president and chief executive officer since April 2024.
