America Movil Earnings Headlines

Everyone remembers January's silver spike. Then what?

About America Movil

América Móvil, S.A.B. de C.V. is a telecommunications company headquartered in Mexico City. It provides wireless and fixed-line voice services, mobile and fixed broadband, pay television, data transmission, information technology, and other digital communications services to consumers, businesses, and government customers.

The company operates primarily through the Telcel brand in Mexico and the Claro brand across much of Latin America and the Caribbean. Its operations also include services in the United States through TracFone Wireless and telecommunications businesses in Europe through its participation in Telekom Austria Group. Depending on the market, América Móvil offers mobile connectivity, internet access, television, cloud and data-center services, cybersecurity, managed business communications, and related digital products.

América Móvil was formed in 2000 after being separated from Telmex’s wireless operations and has since expanded through acquisitions and investments across the Americas and Europe. Daniel Hajj Aboumrad serves as the company’s chief executive officer, while Carlos Slim Domit serves as chairman of the board. The company’s American depositary shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol AMX.
