About Kirby

Kirby (NYSE:KEX) is a marine transportation and engine-services company headquartered in Houston, Texas. Founded in 1921, the company operates primarily in the United States and is one of the largest domestic operators of tank barges.

Through its marine transportation business, Kirby transports bulk liquid products on the nation’s inland waterway system and along the U.S. coast. Its cargoes include refined petroleum products, petrochemicals, black oil, agricultural chemicals and other specialty liquids. The company serves energy producers, refiners, chemical manufacturers, agricultural businesses and other industrial customers.

Kirby also provides engine services through the distribution, repair and servicing of diesel engines, transmissions, pumps and related equipment. These products and services support customers in the oil and gas, power generation, marine, transportation, construction and other industrial markets. The company’s engine-services operations include parts distribution and maintenance for commercial and industrial equipment.
