About ASE Technology

ASE Technology (NYSE:ASX) Holding Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based provider of semiconductor manufacturing services. Through its subsidiaries, the company offers outsourced semiconductor assembly and testing (OSAT) services, helping chip manufacturers package and test integrated circuits before they are incorporated into electronic products.

Its services include wafer probing, wafer bumping, flip-chip and wire-bond packaging, system-in-package and other advanced packaging technologies, as well as final testing and related engineering services. ASE also provides electronic manufacturing services, including the assembly and testing of electronic products and components for communications, computing, consumer electronics, automotive and industrial applications.

ASE Technology traces its roots to Advanced Semiconductor Engineering, which was founded in Taiwan in 1984. The current holding company was established in 2018 following the combination of ASE and Siliconware Precision Industries, another major Taiwanese semiconductor packaging and testing company. The group serves customers through operations and facilities across Taiwan, mainland China and other Asian markets, as well as North America and Europe.
