Federal Signal (NYSE:FSS) is a manufacturer of environmental and safety solutions serving municipalities, government agencies, industrial customers and commercial organizations. Federal Signal traces its history to 1901 and has expanded from an early focus on signaling equipment into a broader provider of specialized equipment and safety technologies. Its products are marketed primarily in North America, with operations and customers in other international markets.

The company is headquartered in Oak Brook, Illinois. Jennifer L. Sherman serves as Federal Signal’s president and chief executive officer.
