Trump goes "all-in" on Grand Canyon energy breakthrough
A drilling crew near the Grand Canyon uncovered a clean energy well producing nearly eight times the output of Saudi Arabia's largest oil field, with potential to last two million years. While the One Big Beautiful Bill Act eliminated federal credits for solar, wind, and EVs, this energy source was reclassified alongside oil and nuclear power and given eight years of tax credits. Google signed a 15-year contract, and Bill Gates committed $100 million. One company controls the entire supply chain behind this discovery.tc pixel

About First Solar

First Solar (NASDAQ:FSLR) is a solar technology and manufacturing company that designs and produces photovoltaic (PV) solar modules for utility-scale power projects. Unlike conventional crystalline-silicon panels, its modules use thin-film semiconductor technology based on cadmium telluride (CdTe), which the company says can provide advantages in energy yield, temperature performance and lifecycle sustainability.

The company’s product portfolio includes its Series 6 and Series 7 thin-film solar modules, along with related services such as technical support, module recycling and end-of-life collection. First Solar primarily supplies project developers, independent power producers, utilities and commercial customers, rather than operating mainly as a residential solar installer.

Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, First Solar serves customers in major solar markets across North America, Europe, India and other international regions. The company operates manufacturing facilities in the United States, Malaysia, Vietnam and India, with additional U.S. production capacity developed as part of its expansion strategy.

Mark Widmar has served as First Solar’s chief executive officer since 2016. The company also operates research and development facilities, including its technology center in Ohio, supporting advances in thin-film solar technology and manufacturing.
