About Cameco

Cameco (NYSE:CCJ) is a Canadian uranium company headquartered in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. It is one of the world’s major suppliers of uranium, producing uranium concentrates used to generate nuclear power. The company’s operations span uranium exploration, mining, milling, refining, conversion and fuel manufacturing.

Cameco operates or has interests in uranium assets in Canada, the United States and Kazakhstan. Its Canadian portfolio includes the McArthur River and Cigar Lake mines and the Key Lake and McClean Lake milling operations in northern Saskatchewan. The company also provides nuclear fuel services, including uranium conversion and fuel fabrication, primarily through facilities in Ontario.

Founded in 1988 through the merger of Saskatchewan Mining Development Corporation and Eldorado Nuclear Limited, Cameco supplies nuclear utilities in North America, Europe and Asia. The company also has a significant ownership interest in Westinghouse Electric Company, a global provider of nuclear reactor technology and services. Tim Gitzel has served as Cameco’s president and chief executive officer since 2011.
