About Imperial Oil

Imperial Oil (NYSEAMERICAN:IMO) is an integrated Canadian energy company engaged in the exploration, production, transportation, refining and marketing of crude oil and natural gas. Founded in 1880, the company is headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, and has operations primarily across Canada.

Imperial’s upstream business includes oil sands production at its Kearl and Cold Lake projects, as well as conventional oil and natural gas activities. The company also holds an interest in Syncrude, one of Canada’s major oil sands mining and upgrading operations. Its downstream business includes refineries, fuel distribution and retail locations, while its chemical operations produce products for industrial and consumer markets.

Imperial markets fuels, lubricants and other petroleum products under brands including Esso, Mobil and Imperial, and operates convenience stores under the On the Run banner. Exxon Mobil Corporation is Imperial’s largest shareholder and provides a strategic relationship with the global energy company. Brad Corson has served as Imperial Oil’s president and chief executive officer since 2022.
