About Madrigal Pharmaceuticals

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:MDGL) is a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing therapies for chronic liver diseases. The company’s primary focus is metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), a progressive form of fatty liver disease that can lead to significant liver fibrosis, cirrhosis and other complications.

Madrigal’s lead product, Rezdiffra (resmetirom), is an oral thyroid hormone receptor beta agonist. In 2024, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved Rezdiffra for use with diet and exercise to treat adults with noncirrhotic MASH accompanied by moderate to advanced liver fibrosis. The therapy is designed to address liver fat and fibrosis associated with the disease.

Headquartered in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, Madrigal markets Rezdiffra in the United States and continues to pursue the development and potential international expansion of its liver disease portfolio. William Sibold serves as the company’s president and chief executive officer.
